“ECOBANKA STARTS TALKS WITH IBM-LENOVO”
Ecobanka has initiated contacts with executives of IBM-LENOVO, a manufacturer with world leaders in the sale of supercomputers.
The objective is to present the ECKN Technology Hub project and the decision to acquire a supercomputer to power all its digital platforms and other global strategic virtual activities.
Lenovo was founded in Beijing in November 1984 as Legend and was incorporated in Hong Kong in 1988. The company acquired IBM’s personal computer business in 2005 and agreed to acquire its Intel-based server business in 2014 In 2014, the company acquired cell phone maker Motorola Mobility.
Lenovo IBM has operations in more than 60 countries and sells its products in about 160 countries. In 2015 Lenovo became the world’s largest sales-leading international computer manufacturer.

The ECKN project’s main goal is to virtualize proprietary digital disruptive applications and globalize desktops to create collaborative work environments with the international community beyond current traditional resources.
